Luke Bennett commits to Georgia as a preffered walk-on
“I just want to be somewhere where I can make an impact.”
Five years after Stetson Bennett headed to Athens from Blackshear as a walk-on, Luke Bennett will make the same journey.
Late Thursday Morning, Luke Bennett announced on Twitter that he was joining the Georgia Football program as a preferred walk-on.

Luke will get one season in Athens with his older brother, Stetson, who is Georgia’s presumptive starting quarterback for the 2022 season after leading the Dawgs to a College Football Playoff Championship.
As for Luke, he will most likely be working at wide receiver.
So what kind of player is Luke Bennett? Well, as a wide receiver he put together quite the resume during his time as a Pierce County Bear:
- 2021 All-Region
- 2020 State Champion
- 48-6 Overall record
In a run-heavy offense, Bennett found the endzone 13 times in his career.
