Brunswick coach Sean Pender updates job status as reports of a move surface
Multiple reports have surfaced that Brunswick High head football coach Sean Pender has accepted a job at North Hall High School in Gainesville, Georgia. First reported by the Southern Sports Edition
In a conversation with ESPN Coastal, Pender updated his current status. “I have not resigned my job. I’m still the football coach at Brunswick.” stated Pender. “I’ve been offered a great job, but I’m going to take this time to mull it over with my family. I want to do this the right way.”
“I know the media likes to be first, but I’ll have more for y’all on Friday.”
Pender has been at Brunswick since 2017. In 2021, he led the Pirates to an undefeated regular season and region title.
Recently, he watched two of his former players, Stetson Bennett (Pierce) and Warren McClendon (Brunswick), hoist the College Football Playoff Trophy as Georgia defeated Alabama 33-18.
