Historic Matchup Between Georgia and Kentucky
The SEC East lead will be on the line when No. 11 Kentucky takes on No. 1 Georgia on Saturday.
Mark Stoops, now in his 9th season at Kentucky, has the Wildcats off to their best start (6-0) since 1950. Their coach in 1950? Bear Bryant.
Meanwhile, Georgia is off to their best start (6-0) since 2019 and were voted No. 1 this past week for the first time since 2008.
History will be made when the two teams take the field on Saturday. For the first time in SEC history, two SEC East teams will meet with (6-0) or better records.
Saturday in Athens will be historic.

This, however, is not the first time Georgia and Kentucky have met with first place in the East on the line. Back in 2018, No. 6 Georgia headed to Lexington to take on No. 11 Kentucky. The Dawgs would end up winning the game 34-7, taking the East, and heading to Atlanta where they would fall to Alabama. That being said, it was still awesome to see Kentucky host a game in November with so much on the line.
We also got to see D’Andre Swift do this:
