Multiple reports have surfaced that Georgia Southern has parted ways with head coach Chad Lunsford following a 1-3 start.
Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports was the first to report:

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg also shared the news:
Sources confirm Chad Lunsford is out as #GeorgiaSouthern coach after a 1-3 start. Lunsford had reached three consecutive bowl games and went 28-20 at the school. Yahoo first reported the coaching change.

Georgia Southern has not confirmed the move.
Lunsford is in his 4th full season as head coach, after taking over as interim in 2017. The Eagles have been to three consecutive Bowl Games under Lunsford, winning twice.
