Raptors: High in the Standings, low in the conversation.
Cody Queen, ESPN Coastal Senior NFL Writer
The Toronto Raptors are flying low and have really not been mentioned much so far this year, even though they are in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference.
They are one of many teams taking advantage of the Cavalier’s struggles this season.
Toronto has the best home record of 23-4. In those 4 losses they have only lost by an average of 4.5 points. Since January 11th they have beaten big teams like: Cleveland 133-99, San Antonio 86-83, Minnesota 109-104 and just put down Boston 111-91 who are 1st in the conference. DeMar DeRozan is averaging 24.2 PPG and helps the Raptors average 111.4 PPG which makes them 3rd in the league. Toronto is also 8th in the league in total defense so this team is good on both sides of the ball.
With only 29 games left the Toronto Raptors have a few difficult opponents but overall should coast to the playoffs. They will make a very entertaining push for the playoffs and has proven that they can beat the best in the east.
